Donald Knuth (born 1938) is an American computer scientist and mathematician. He is known for his pioneering work in algorithms and the art of computer programming. Knuth is the author of the multi-volume book series "The Art of Computer Programming," which is considered a fundamental resource in the field of computer science.
Wrote The Art of Computer Programming and created TeX. Coined the term "analysis of algorithms" and made major contributions to that field, including popularizing Big O notation.
Donald Ervin Knuth is an American computer scientist and mathematician. He is a professor emeritus at Stanford University. He is the 1974 recipient of the ACM Turing Award, informally considered the Nobel Prize of computer science. Knuth has been called the "father of the analysis of algorithms".
