Introduction

Ada Lovelace, born as Augusta Ada Byron, was an English mathematician and writer known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. She is recognized for writing the world's first machine algorithm for an early computing machine that existed only on paper, thus often referred to as the world's first computer programmer.
