Saul Rosen (1922-1991) was an American computer science pioneer known for designing the software for the Philco Transac S-2000, the first transistor-based computer. He also contributed to programming language design, particularly influencing the ALGOL language. Rosen played a key role in establishing the Association for Computing Machinery and co-founded the journal Annals of the History of Computing.
